Collège de France Turkish, Arabic, and Islamic Studies Library
The Turkish, Arabic, and Islamic Studies Library houses the Louis Massignon, Jean Sauvaget, Henri Laoust, Régis Blachère, Jacques Berque, and Claude Cahen collections, covering all aspects of Arabo-Islamic civilization from the origins of Islam to the present day. A majority of the holdings are in Arabic.
The library offers a selection of widely circulated contemporary journals such as Arabica, Studia islamica, and the Journal of Arabic Literature as well as no-longer published journals such as Les Annales de l'Institut d'études orientales de la Faculté d'Alger or La Revue du monde musulman.
It offers 18 WIFI-equipped seats, including 3 carrels and a group work room accessible by prior reservation via the Affluences platform.
Access terms
The Library is open to researchers and university faculty and to graduate students on recommendation from their thesis advisor.
