EPHE Archive Services

Within the Research Department (DRED) of the École Pratique des Hautes Études – PSL, archivists from the Archives, Open Science, and Documentation Division collect, classify, preserve, and share the school's various collections dating back to its creation in 1868, whether they originate directly from the administration or from research and teaching activities.

In 2020, more than fifty archival collections, representing approximately 450 linear meters, were transferred to the Humathèque (the Grand équipement documentaire) at the Campus Condorcet.

The final archives are transferred to the National Archives, which make the documents available to the public.

 

Access terms

Access to archival documents is governed by the Heritage Code. Documents can only be consulted by appointment after prior contact with the Center's archivists.

The PSL Explore online digital library (Bibnum Université PSL) provides online access to the scientific archives of PSL institutions, including the EPHE.
