Library

EPHE Tibetan Studies Resource Center (CDAT)

The photo library contains 12,000 slides and over 3,000 photographs documenting the Tibetan region. The collection consists of over 3,000 monographs in Western languages and a thousand titles in Tibetan, including several large collections. One of its specific collections comes from Rolf Stein's library. The subjects covered include religions (Buddhism and Bon), history, philosophy, civilization, and the arts of the Tibetan region, particularly Tibet and Bhutan.

The collections have been transferred to the Humathèque at Campus Condorcet. They have been integrated into territory G “Asia,” in section G3 “Himalayan Studies.” They sit alongside the collections of the Centre for Himalayan Studies (CEH, CNRS) and the Center for Indian and South Asian Studies (CEIAS, EHESS).
