MINES Paris Library

The MINES Paris library is home to a remarkable ensemble of historic and contemporary works. Historic holdings from the 16th century forward comprise printed and handwritten materials focusing on mining, chemistry, metallurgy and geology including manuscripts (some of which relate the industrial travel experiences of the school's 19th century students), the Élie Beaumont, Monnet and Gillet de Laumond collections, institutional archives and photographs by F. Leprince-Ringuet.  The works have been digitized and now form a digital Heritage Library.

Modern and contemporary holdings include approximately 200,000 works (books, theses, and dissertations) as well as 5,000 printed journal titles in the fields of science and technology, the humanities and the social sciences.

The library subscribes to over 250 periodicals and 20 databases in those fields.
