CNRS/ENS Archeology Library
The ENS Archeology Library holds a specialized collection centered on the AOROC research center's study areas: Ancient Societies, Languages and Cultures and Cultural Transfers between Classical Antiquity and societies on the fringes of the Greco-Roman World. The library's collection includes major holdings on Iron Age Europe, Etruscan and Italian Antiquity, numismatics, ancient theater, ancient Roman décor, Central Asia, Roman Africa, and the Mediterranean. Holdings include collections bequeathed by Blanchet, Hambis, Rolley, and Stern as well as the AIEMA Library (international association for the study of ancient mosaics), on permanent loan from the association.
Access terms
The library is open to researchers, faculty and graduate students (Master's and above).
Registration is required prior to access.
Lending terms
Library loans are restricted to CNRS/ENS faculty, researchers and graduate students.
Loans are for 1 month and may be renewed once.
