EPHE Center for Japanese Religions and Folk Traditions Library (CERTPJ)

The EPHE Center for Japanese Religions and Folk traditions Library is located in the EFEO (French School of Asian Studies) Maison de l'Asie building. The CERTPJ Library holds an extensive collection of documents on Japanese folk religions, folklore, ethnology and anthropology. Holdings also include an important collection of black and white photos on everyday life in Japan, focusing on religious practices.

Access terms

The library is open to Master's and PhD students, researchers and faculty. 

Lending terms

On-site consultation. Loans possible for members of the CRCAO.
