École française d'Extrême-Orient: Chiang Mai Center Library

In 2009-2010, the École française d'Extrême Orient (French School of Asian Studies) built a new library on the grounds of its Chiang Mai Center. The library provides access to all of the Center's documentary resources, i.e. some 50,000 volumes, in the fields of Thai and Southeast Asian studies, and the history of Theravada Buddhism in the region.

In addition to its monograph collections, the library's holdings include a major collection of periodicals in Thai, on Buddhism, literary and cultural history. Journals available in English and French focus on Asian, Southeast Asian, Buddhist and religious studies.
