EPHE Wladimir Golenischeff Egyptology Research Center and Library
Library specializing in Egyptology, containing reference works, dictionaries, and lexicons, major French and international journals, both current and back issues, large collections of French and foreign monographs (religion, archaeology, text editions, etc.), valuable antique works, a wide selection of offprints, and maps. The library also offers extensive closed archives (Golenischeff, Lacau, Montet, Yoyotte) and open archives (French Excavation Mission at Tanis EPHE/MAE) with photographic plates, photographic prints, plans and drawings, and notes.
The Golenischeff Center and its library are home to the EPHE's “Ancient Egypt: Archaeology, Language, Religion” (EA 4519) research team and the French Mission for Excavations at Tanis. The collections have been transferred to the Humathèque on the Condorcet Campus. They have been integrated into territory C “Texts, Meaning, Creation” and in particular into section C3 “Religious Studies.” The archives and rare or valuable documents are kept in the Humathèque's reserves and can be consulted in a specific consultation room.
